PCCare247 Good Company and Great Service

by on May.03, 2012, under PCCare247

It has been six months, since I bought a Toshiba laptop and it was running very fine till last week. But last Tuesday, it suddenly stopped working and I was clueless that what went wrong. Although, I know that these issues occur due to the presence of viruses in the computer, but to take care of that I had installed an antivirus software in my system, which proved futile. And then I took my computer to a technician in the local market. After diagnosing the computer, the technician told that the laptop is being maligned with a plenty of ailments and it will take two days to repair it at whopping sum of $1500. The way he was describing all these things to me, I found something fishy in that and I left the shop on the pretext that forgetting the wallet in the home. And it was then I recalled that two months back my friend told me that he too had faced some problem with his PC and to fix that he took the help of some online support but the irony was that I forgot the name. Then, I called him up to confirm the name and that’s how I come to know about PCCare247 and soon called up their toll free number to lodge my query concerned. And just within minute I received a call back from one of their technicians, who instantly took the remote session of my system and in no time fixed it up and it was that day and today, I have not come across even a slight problem in system. Indeed, if PCCare247 were not there, I would not have been possible to bring my cherished laptop back to life.

Ooma Phone System

by on Oct.10, 2010, under Ooma Phone System

As I promised this is a follow up to the review of the magicJack. A better option than the magicJack is the Ooma phone system. It is a little pricier than the magicJack, but it is well worth it. The main device cost about $199.00 and it can handle up to five handsets. The handsets are about $49.00 each. After you spend the money for the system you are finished. There is no more cost to having the Ooma system, which is even better than the magicJack, because with the magicJack you have to renew it every year unless you purchase multiple years of service at once, but it still in reality means you have a yearly expense. With the Ooma system you only have a onetime expense for the system and that is all. There are no renewal expenses at all.  The great thing about the Ooma system is that it hooks directly up to the modem instead of hooking up to your computer. The internet signal goes from the modem directly to the Ooma system then to your computer, which makes it have a lot better connection. There are also quite a few options and services that you can have with the Ooma system that I am sure you will like. I purchased the Ooma system about six months ago and I have not had any problems with it at all, and I use it a lot. I use it for business and personal use. If I do experience any problems I will re-update this post a.s.a.p.

magicJack

by on Oct.10, 2010, under magicJack

If you are considering purchasing the magicJack I would think again. I purchased two of them and had the same experience with both of them. I also spoke to number of people who also had the same results I had with mine. The problems that I had with mine are the clarity of the calls. When I first started to use the magicJack it worked great, but that did not last long. It only took about a week and then you could not make a call and expect to be able to have a conversation. It was like a cell phone with a bad connection. You could only make out every other word, or if you could hear the other person clearly then they would not be able to hear you clearly. I really wish that the magicJack would work well because I do love the concept. I believe the problem is that the connection comes from the modem to the computer then to the magicJack, so by the time your connection reaches the magicJack it has slowed down and had any and all connection problems affect your call. There are other products out there similar to the magicJack but the connection goes from the modem to the device then to your computer. I will follow up with a review of those products soon.

Motorola Droid

by on Apr.25, 2010, under Review

I just purchased the Motorola Droid for my son and I and we both really like it. The only thing I have found as a negative about it so far is the battery life seems to be rather short. However it does seem to charge pretty quickly. The number of apps that are available is amazing, and there are some really cool apps that make it worth the purchase. As far as the reception of the phone, it seems to be pretty good. It’s not the best I have had, but it’s not the worst either. The keyboard is user friendly, so you don’t have to have small pointy fingers to be able to use it. The Droid operates quickly, even if you are running multiple apps at once. So far overall, I would recommend buying it, if you are looking for a smart phone. The one thing that really upsets me is that all the companies such as Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint, and ect. all charge the data fee of $29.99 to have these phones, and it is per smart phone not just per account. They really need to change that to one data fee per account and allow as many smart phones as you have to operate on that one data charge. They would probably sell a lot more smart phones if they would do that. I have not had the phone all that long, so if I find anything significant to report about it, whether it is good or bad I will certainly report back.

American Contractors Indemnity Company

by on Apr.29, 2009, under Service

I would like to tell you about an experience that I recently had with a company known as American Contractors Indemnity Company. This is a company that issues bonds for a verity of things. I have been a customer of theirs for several years. I used their services for a mortgage surety bond that the state of Ohio requires you to have if you want to hold a mortgage broker license. The state requires you to have a $50,000.00 mortgage surety bond. I have owned a mortgage company for over 10 years. I have never even come close to having a claim on my mortgage surety bond and I have been paying a premium of $750.00 per year to have this mortgage surety bond. Now, unless you have been living on the moon I am sure you know about the financial crisis that we are experiencing right now. You also probably know that the real-estate and mortgage industries are the two industries that have been affected the most. Due to the fact that we are experiencing these hardships my personal credit has been affected some and I am struggling financially right now, but that does not affect my mortgage business or my customers at all because I am a mortgage broker so I don’t fund or service any of the loans that I do. We just find the best lender and programs for our customers. April is the time of year that the mortgage broker license and the mortgage surety bond have to be renewed. American Contractors Indemnity Company has decided that because of some slow pays on my credit that they are not going to renew my mortgage surety bond. Now this is a company that I have been with for several years and they have never even come close to having any claims or losses with my mortgage company. American Contractors Indemnity Company is the type of company that is there to take your money when times are good, but if you are having any kinds of problems or just a rough time they will drop you like a hot potato. I now have to close the doors to the mortgage company that I have spent over 10 years building and running because I can’t get my mortgage surety bond renewed. I could understand it and accept it if I had ran my company in the ground because of bad decisions or bad management, but anybody with half a brain can see that it is the economy that is bad and it has caused some of the biggest companies out there to have problems and even go under. It should say something good that I have been able to keep my mortgage company open through the toughest times ever for the mortgage and real-estate industry. The bottom line is American Contractors Indemnity Company does not care about their customers. They are not the company that you want do business with. You should try to find a company that will be there to help you and stand by you when times are rough especially when you have been a customer of theirs for years and they have done nothing but make money from you. I defiantly do not recommend American Contractors Indemnity Company for anyone.

I have an account with http://www.GodfatherOfDomains.com and I can not say enough good things about this domain site. I have 35 domain names being managed by this site as well as a hosting plan, email accounts, websites, and blogs. I am paying the lowest prices I can find for all of these things and I have received the best service you could ask for. The tech. support is 2nd to none. I highly recommend their service.

Igomogul.com

by on Mar.29, 2009, under Review

The first review I want to do is on a company call Igomogul.com. I recently had an experience with them which I am not going to say was horrible, but it certainly was not the best either. Igomogul.com is a company that sets up blogs and does the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) for you. Well, that’s not all that they do, but that was what I was working with them on. The person whom I first spoke with immediately passed me to his manager who was kind of like a sales manager. Now this guy could talk a pretty good game. He was telling me that for $199.00 they would create a blog for me and as long as I did regular post to it and overall kept up the blog that they would have me on the first page of results on google. He actually said at one point that they would have me to the number 1 spot with google. I told him that I would have to think about it and we set up a time for a week later to talk again. A week later he called and we spoke again for quite a while and he was basically telling me that I could not do it myself. He said “without Igomogul.com I would never get to the first page of results.” So I decided to go ahead and do it. I gave him my credit card info and they charged me $199.00 and sent me a contract that I had to sign and send back. When I got the contract I started to read it over and there was a section in it that said that I was giving up my right to cancel the charge or do a reverse charge. It went as far to say that I could not dispute the charge for any reason at all. I was not real happy with this section of the contract because basically if I signed that they could have told me to beat it and not done anything for me, and there would have been nothing I could have done about it. So, I decided that I would write a provision in the contract that said as long as they provided me with the service that was outlined in the contract that they were supposed to provide to me that I would not cancel the charge or do a reverse charge, and I faxed it back to them. This was late in the evening so the next day I received a call from the sales manager that I had been dealing with and he said that they would not accept the contract with what I wrote in it. I told him that if they wanted to type it in that would be fine with me, but they didn’t want it in the contract at all. He went on to tell me that if they were screwing people over that they would not be as big and successful as they are and they would not have all of the big named clients and business associates that they do. My response to that was, if they were doing the great job that he claimed that they do, and if they are as big of an organization as he claimed they are, and if they were really going to do everything that they said they would in the contract, then they shouldn’t have a problem with guaranteeing what they say. After talking this over for what seemed like hours we hung up with it still not resolved. I received about 3 or 4 more calls from different people within the company and not one of them was willing to put anything in writing to make me feel more comfortable with the deal. Meanwhile I did a google search on Igomogul.com and it was not good. About everything that came back was some sort of complaint. Then I received the final call from them. It was a guy that tried to talk me into just going on with the deal and to sign another contract without my provision that I wrote in the first one. What was funny was he contradicted the sales manager that I spoke with by saying that it would take a lot more than $199.00 to get a good blog site that would make it to the first page of results on google. He was also very rude. I told him that I just wanted a refund and to forget about the whole thing. I did get my refund after about a week, but I am not so sure that I would have received a refund if they had a contract signed without the provision I put in it. So overall I can’t say that I would recommend doing business with them and if you do decide to work with them just be careful and don’t give them anything you can afford to lose. I would also try to get them to change the wording in their contract about the reverse charge provision.
